WELCOME TO HEAL CHARLOTTE

From this, what was previously known as the Charlotte Community Coalition, eventually became the award-winning Heal Charlotte; one of Charlotte’s youngest and most inspirational community empowerment and youth advocacy non-profit organizations.”

HOW IT ALL BEGAN ?

In the Fall of 2016 two protesters, Greg Jackson and Antuan Smith banned together during the unfortunate Charlotte riots in pursuit of justice and founded the Charlotte Community Coalition. Although Antuan and Greg valiantly pursued justice what they inevitably discovered was passion, purpose and destined placement in serving the communities of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Through much support, mentors and partners the Charlotte Community Coalition found it's niche and honed in to advancing communities, impacting youth and partnering law enforcement, city officials and civic services to advance the communities of Charlotte. This new found calling centered around one goal and that was to heal the heart beat of Charlotte, it's communities and the future of the city, the youth.

Congratulations to Alhaji. We are very proud of you🎉Congratulations to Jillian of Carmel Middle School and Alhaji of Martin Luther King Jr Middle for being chosen as the National Campaign to Stop Violence - Do the Write Thing National Ambassadors for Mecklenburg County!

This challenge gives middle school students an opportunity to examine the impact of violence on their lives and write what they think should be done to change our culture of violence.

Special thanks to our community partners who helped make this challenge happen: Communities In Schools-Charlotte, Right Moves for Youth, 100 Black Men of Charlotte, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools

We got a little dirt underneath our fingernails in Orchard Trace this weekend, y'all. Yesterday we planted six trees in the neighborhood in partnership with Trees Charlotte, Novant Health, and the Charlotte North Rotary. It's our little contribution to try to help maintain our city's beautiful tree canopy. More than that, though, it's an opportunity for the kids to see how the little things we plant today can grow into big things tomorrow. ... See MoreSee Less

Alright, Charlotte. It's November, and you know what that means. It's time to give.

On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, we’ll head back to the Salvation Army Center for Women and Children for our 4th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner, where we'll feed more than 400 families.

We need your help with food and volunteers. Last year we had help from NFL legend Randy Moss and former mayor Jennifer Roberts. Will you join us this year?
